BCWA S3:E17 Mike Seebeck and Dave talk about the FSMPA conference and what distributors can gain from working with the Academy.

Mike Seebeck with Earthlabs/HDOX and Dave with the Academy of Cleaning Excellence were both in the GEM Supply booth at the FSPMA conference this week in Orlando, FL.  The two guys talk to distributors around the country as to the benefits of professional development and partnering with operations such as GEM Supply.  
The Rock Star series of motivational sessions was on Mikes's mind as he attended a couple of sessions and then applied the thought processes while on the show floor.

Dan says that once we understand the why to cleaning, that then creates the passion for obtaining the end result.
He goes on to explain the Triple S program he presents as, "The Power of Clean."  That has now become the "Power of Why."
They talk about the 22, ACE regional campuses around the U.S., most of which are Triple S members.  You can now get the Academy professional development the two are talking about from almost anywhere across the U.S.

Dr. Aaron Buchko is a professor of management in the Foster College of Business, Bradley University, teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in Planning and Strategy and graduate courses in Executive Development and Business Ethics.
He lives in Peoria, Illinois with his wife, Dr. Kathy Buchko, a counseling psychologist, their daughter, Alex, and son Andrej. In his spare time, he is an avid fly fisherman, hockey player, and coach, motorcyclist, reader, and is a student of U.S. history, particularly for the period from 1840-1940.

Earlier this year in March, Denise and Willard along with over a dozen of their colleagues had the opportunity to choose which seminar they wanted to attend at the 1st Annual Clean Buildings Expo in Baltimore.
Among the ones they choose, the Rock Star Custodian is the one which caught their attention.  Listen to Denise and Willard as they tell you about how engaging and fun the session was. 
The University has seen benefits in the Rock Star program and will not be waiting till we come back in March 2020 for the expo.  Their 200 person staff is going to get to share in "the cake" as Willard puts it.
